VVAF is an international humanitarian organization that addresses the causes, conduct and consequences of war through programs of advocacy and service for victims of conflict around the world.

International Voluntary Service Activities

VVAF has benefited from the assistance of numerous volunteers over the years. Recent volunteer assignments include a business volunteer who performed a market analysis for the privatization of our wheelchair workshop in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. Another professional volunteer provided occupational therapy services to amputees in Eastern Angola. At present we are seeking volunteers with strong business and programming skills to assist our programs with income generation and other opportunities in Africa and Asia.

Individuals should possess academic and professional training, at least 5 years of relevant experience, be flexible, open-minded, willing to endure the relative hardships of life in the developing world, have an appreciation for cultural diversity, have experience with training/capacity building and possess a set of technical skills.
