About Serendib
Serendib is an international non profit organization dedicated to empowering students and teachers across the globe with access to education, economic skills, and human compassion.
Serendib works to improve the lives of these students and teachers through girls' education initiatives, IT seminars, peace education camps for youth, teacher trainings, and creative arts outreach programs.
Since 1997, Serendib has positively impacted the lives of 3,000 students and 500 teachers in Sri Lanka, Thailand, Benin, and the United States. Serendib is supported entirely by private donations and grants from larger international organizations.
International Voluntary Service Activities:
Serendib has ongoing opportunities for teachers and qualified professionals in the area of IT, health, business, law, architecture, engineering, and management, to become involved in its efforts in Sri Lanka and Thailand.
Specifically, Serendib recruits individuals for its annual summer Peace Camp in Sri Lanka - held June through August every year. Moreover, the organization recruits educators through its Teachers for Thailand program - on an ongoing basis.
