About Malawi Project

Malawi Project has Blessings Hospital, a 100-bed facility in Lumbadzi, Malawi. We have 81 orphans in Mtendere Children's Village. We have a food production plant making Vita meals, which feeds 87,000 children per day. 33,000 farmers are using drip irrigation and incentive farming. Malawi Project is being considered for a university extension program, which should take place within the next two years. This university extension program would allow students in nursing, pharmacy, medicine, and agriculture to volunteer in Malawi for a semester and receive college credit.

International Voluntary Service Activities

Each summer we bring in from 80 -100 volunteers. We have had 3 medical students do rotations for credit and will increase this substantially when we have our operating building done this summer 2008. We have just finished a dam project where we will bring in 200 Malawi families to learn drip irrigation, NRE farming tech. and livestock husbandry. We hope to start growing talpia in the lake that is now backed up.
